2013 MGS Meeting Schedule

The MGS holds bimonthly club meetings at the Bowie Community Center in Bowie, MD. Meetings are open to the public and are free. Meetings start at 11:00 a.m. and run until 3:00 p.m. The format of the meetings usually consists of about an hour or so of what might be called "show-and-tell" when individuals bring in specimens (e.g., teeth, bones, rocks, etc.) to show and for help with identification. Some of our members normally in attendance are from the professional paleontological and geological communities, and are more than happy to help with ID'ing specimens. There is usually a theme for each meeting, as well a guest speaker or lecture. Below is a table showing the scheduled dates for each meeting for the current year.
